The Honor Guard is proud to provide
dignified gravesite services for deceased veterans and
their family and friends. In some cases Military Honors
are conducted near the church or funeral home where the
funeral service is held. A typical gravesite service has
four phases including:
- the folding of the national
colors by the Flag Detail,
- the presentation of the folded
flag to the next of kin of the deceased,
- the Rifle Squad firing three
volleys and
- the Bugler playing taps.
Honor Guard services are provided upon
request from the deceased veterans' family. Request
should be made through the Funeral Home representative
and specifically ask for the Veterans Honor Guard of
Bella Vista. Every effort is made to accommodate request
that are located within approximately 50 miles from
Bella Vista, Arkansas. The service is performed free of
charge and is self-funded by donations from family
members and monies from members of the VFW and American
Legion . |
